It is harder to keep this up than I thought, but will try. Saturday night we had horrendous storms. I don't lke lightning, but we sure had plenty of it. We lost 2 very large Bradford Pear trees. They broke off about 3 feet up. It was scary. We lost power, so I called Nancy to pass time away. John came in from looking at the trees and saw candles and heard the music and said I am beat and am going to bed. Age has set in, LOL. Power came on during the night and the lights we had on came on and woke us up. I knew it would happen, but couldn't remember which were on at the time the power went off. "Getting old is complicated".
John is out now trying to cut the trees up and he has a company coming later that will bring in a shreader. We thought we left dealing with trees when we left Mt Airy, but I guess they can be a problem any where.
Yesterday afternoon, I took Prncess out. I was gone for over an hour. John has learned to just wait before he calls my cell phone. Everyone on the road was in a good friendly mood, lots of horn honks and waves. Two men in a new Mercades convertible got in the other lane at a light to ask the year. They were too young to know, poor things.
Making plans for the reunion. Pat Donnelly and I are going to cruise through the campus at Concord College. Do you think those kids will know the car? She is bringing 50's cassetts and with all I have, we will be in "Rock and Roll Heaven".
We will be wearing long white scarves and our cat eye sun glasses. Hope it is sunny. It realy won't matter with us. I think I have filled up my list for rides.
Really looking forward to the reunion. Nancy is going with me this year. We reserved a suite. Just hope we stay out of trouble.
