Look Ma!!!! No cavities!!!!

 Remember that commercial? Well that is what I have to say now since I just went to the dentist.

I remember going to the county dentist in Welch. Remember going up those steep dark stairs next to the Superior Office Supply Store, on Elkhorn Street.. Those steps seemed so long and steep. Maybe it was because I knew what was waiting at the top. after my mother opened the door with the glass top that was rippled and you could not see through it. The chair was more like a barber chair and it faced the window, very dark, covered with coal dust and I could look across the street and see the Elkhorn apartments. The floor was covered with linoleum with big ugly flowers.

 Such happy thoughts, LOL.

 The county also sent dental chairs to the Welch Grade School and set them up in the music room and cleaned every students teeth. Why can I remember these little events so vividly and yet, don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday?

It is very hot in Hagerstown today.
