Wow! Long time since I took time for an entry here.
Grandbaby is now pulling herself up to stand. She is taking first tentative steps while holding adult hands. So cute! Just precious!
I have been cleaning and rearranging to make studio and other associated rooms more functional as this business has grown.
Many quilts done since I last posted. I still have a line of them to do. I hate getting behind more than I expected when I took in the quilts, but now I just must assure folks that their quilts are done in the order in which I got them, and that I work as hard as I can to get them done. I don't give tentative dates anymore.
I have found someone who loves making the tops and has some for sale. I hope to add this information to my website and to the picturesite also. IF someone needs the quilting done to these tops if they buy one from her, I can certainly help them out in that department.
IF someone is needing a quilt made to a specific pattern, or a tee shirt quilt ot such made, I think this lady and I may be able to work it out together and then the wait time for the person to get their ordered quilt will be reduced.
I now carry some beautiful batik wide backing fabrics, or rather I carry the samples of these and they are orderable from me from the company behind them which is Sew Batik. These gorgous pieces are not available from quilt shops but just from longarm quilters and at a few quilt shows a year.
Well, back to quilting. Got to be ready to enjoy working at the Evansville, IN quilt show Sept 15 and 16 downtown at the Scottish Rite building. We (Accomplish Quilting and I are going to have a couple machines on display for folks to try out. Maybe we can make some sales locally and then those folks will have my local support to help them get started and to keep going doing quilting they love.
Anyone want more details about the show? call me at 812-362-8607 or email me at www.kaysquiltingcorner.com
I plan to be at two shows in October too, but there will be no machines at these shows. More on these later.

0 Comments New me, sorta.
After many years of turning white headed (starting at 17), I finally have had my hair colored. I like the new me.
Today is the day to renew the shade. I hope it comes out the same.
Lots of errands with the business today as well. Then tonight I hope to start Marjie's 4th Double Wedding Ring quilt.. She is making one for each grandchild. So far, she has done one in lilac, one in peach and green, and now two in blue shades. She has excellent sense of color. Each quilt is a beauty.
She wants double hearts in the centers of this one.

0 Comments Labor Day and work
Today is Labor Day but we have no big plans. I will be uploading new pictures to PictureTrail today, answering emails, fixing my and my husband's meals, and quilting. Seems like a regular day.
I am so glad it cooled off. When the air conditioner broke a week ago and it was hot, I sure learned how much nicer it is to work on quilts when it is not hot inside!
Gotta go. Lunch needs are calling. MMMM, eggplant parmesan over pasta! At least lunch shall be tasty on this Labor Day. Looks like the sun may be trying to come out from hiding too.
