The art works come from all over the uk and have been produced by those who call themselves professional artists and those who do not. They have been created by all ages; by bereaved grandmothers, grandfathers, fathers, mothers, siblings, friends of those who have lost babies or those touched by the death of a baby.
Littlefootprints was a mixed media art exhibition on the theme of the death of a baby. The work in the exhibition contains a lot of sadness and grief, but also love and memorial. By viewing the exhibition those who have not experienced such a loss may find some understanding. Those who have may find some echoes of their own experiences. Art is a way many people find to express their grief, whether they are artists or not. Art can touch those who are grieving in a very direct way, as they recognize something from their own experience in a work of art and it can also communicate something to those who have not experienced grief.
Curated and organised by Becci Eriksson and Glad Fryer.
Many thanks to all those who made this exhibition and the littlefootprints web-site possible.
In memory of all our lost babies who are in our hearts forever.
