So, What is Here and How Does It Work?
My interests include Square Dancing, Travel and sharing photos on this site.

Until I got a digital camera the only photos that I brought home from a trip were postcards. Now, I don't claim to be a photographer but by taking volumes of photographs I occasionally get lucky and take a few decent ones.

Our Square Dancing home is Whirl and Twirl in Orlando and I try to get a few pictures at the Wednesday and Friday night dances each week. Check the Recent Photos album for current photos. Also, when classes are in session I like to take a few each Tuesday during the class.

One of the nice things about Square Dancing is the friendly dancers you can meet as you travel. Visit our "We Travel 2 Dance" album to see photos from clubs that we have visited. Also, Square Dancing is International but no matter where you go the dance is always called in English. Check out the "Square Dancing Around the World" album to see photos from around the world. Note that Whirl and Twirl has many International visitors each year, photos are in the "Visitors" album.

The "Special Events" album is primarily used to showcase an event, such as a Birthday or Anniversary Party. But it will be used for any event that needs to be shared for a period of time.

So now that you have an idea of what is available just click on one of the photos on the right to get started.

I hope you enjoy and will return often,

Bill

  Square Dancing While Traveling
Months before taking a trip we begin to search for Square Dance Clubs to visit along the way. To often the contact information on the web is grossly outdated. Its frustrating to make several long distance calls only to find that the person on the other end is NO Longer active in the club and doesn't know the number for the current contact. E-mail works much better since its free and if un-delivered you get a return message, the only problem here is that some folks are no long the contact and either don't forward the message or don't reply. We all like "Visitors" so please check to ensure your web site, newsletters etc. have the current contact information for your club and remember e-mail works best for most traveling dancers.

PS: Did you notice Danny's picture in the "OUR CALLER" album? He and Bill were joking around, dancing together, when Mary Chesnut took the picture. She loaned it to me a few years ago when we were having a birthday bash for Bill.

I have been wondering how to pass the word about all the clubs using this site linked to their web site. It is really a great untapped source. People probably don't realize how easy it is to use. It can be one of the best features of a club's web site.

Every time I go to the PictureTrail web site, I learn something new. The photo albums are a great asset to a club's web site. When I first went to the Whirl and Twirl web site and followed the link to your photo albums, I thought, "Wow, I want to learn how to do that". Now I have, and it is great.
