Sorry for the delay in writing back....my Mom had been slowly declining since Thanksgiving and passed away the 1st of Jan and I just have been having a rough time. Thank you for all your lovely, lovely notes. They really are appreciated !!

Mike and I swapped that cold back and forth all through the Holidays. He had it twice and I had it three times between Thanksgiving and New Years!! Hopefully we're done with it by now. We don't have any snow in the predictions here, but...hey...this IS Louisiana. Anything can happen. Just give it an hour or so and it's liable to change!!!!! Take care. Good Friday Morning!!!!! Hope all is well with you. We are in for a cold, wet weekend here, so decided this will be a good weekend to stay around the house and get the income tax "stuff" ready for the accountant!! Mike is doing really well after the surgery on his hand. He is exercising it like he was told, being careful not to overdo, and he is progressing nicely. Hope you have a nice weekend. Take care. Dee

Happy New Year to you, as well.
Mike is doing well since the surgery on his hand. He will wear the cast the rest of this week then move into the soft removab.e brace after that. He will have a few weeks of therapy (hand and finger exercises) and after that (hopefully) be good as new. Have fun tonight and be safe. Dee

Hey Girl!! Stay in and stay warm. Temps are supposed to be low this weekend...especially at night. I can't seem to get rid of this sore throat and ear ache so I'M stayin' inside!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of hot chocolate (laced with Bailey's Irish Cream), popcorn, and a couple of good movies. Hope to get some writing in, as well!!! Dee

As I understand from locals, it has changed and grown alot. We CA folks keep comin in and making things grow...but I love it here. Seems small to me. I lived in LA County for 33 yrs and 3 yrs in Orange County, plus Las Vegas and even Conn. where I was born and raised. I like you have been a travling gal but at last I think here is the best. You really should try to return someday...

HI........So far so good, except for a slight headache. Didn't crawl out of bed untill after 9am...a little too much wine at a wine tasting party last night!!!!
