About Me |
| Hello my name is Lindsay and together with my son Kristopher, we have created Sunnyside Silkies. We currently have white silkies and frizzles. I hope to add blue/black silkies this fall. Our silkies are all show/breeder quality. We obtained them from Laritta @ Red's Roost, and Kate@ Golden Egg farm. 2 of our whites are non bearded while the rest are bearded. Introduce Yourself:
My name is Lindsay and I am a 27 year old mother of a wonderful 6 year old. We have been breeding chickens for about a year now, so we are pretty new at this stuff. My son is a member of the Desert Compadres 4-H group. We got started in this with a little wheaton OEG hen my son named Sharkie and have been hooked ever since. I bought some silkies from Ideal Hatchery over a year ago to set on eggs from my OEG bantams, and got hooked on silkies. I have since found those a new home and bought from reputable breeders. So instead of breeding OEG bantams, I am now a silkie lover and they are my life, aside from my son of course. I love everything about them and we will be going to our first show in December, the Pacific Coast Bantam Show where I hope to meet other Silkie lovers. |
