my music |
| This is my 80's alternative new wave playlist. Some of the bands are new but most of them are classic 80's alternative artist.U2,is one of my favorite artists.I remember there first cd,"Boy".BACK IN 1980.their sound took the world by storm.October,War,Under a bood red sky were all great cds. There was nobody that sounded like U2 or even close to it at that time.Their early sound had a rebelish sound that got into your soul and told you to stand up and fight, for what you beleive in. Some of the music in my playlist has a dramatic mysterious sound that captures the imagination. Some of it,has a cheerful and upbeat sound. For the most part all is good ,but not for everyone.Other artis I like are, The Smithes,Siouxie & the Banshee's,Echo & the Bunnymen,The Cure,Depeche Mode and New Order. These artist have a creative and distinctive sound, that makes them unique |

My scrollsaw work (past projects) |
| I started doing scrolling back in 2005.My father had a Craftsman scroll saw in the garage. It sat out there, unused for years.I asked him whats with this.He showed me and said give it a try,the rest is all history.I really love scrolling. There are so many different things you can create .After buying all the different scrollsaw mags and getting good at it.I went out a bought me a saw.It was a dremel 1800 scrollstation. This time,I finnally had my own saw.Everything really took off after that.I started cutting all kinds of portraits, intarsia art, fretwork and little 3D figuers. After doing all this wonderful work.I got to thinking, why dont,I try pattern making. After all im good at drawing and have a great imagination. So,I found this imaging software called Serif photo plus. The software was easy to use,but figiuring out, how to edit real pictures into a cuttable patterns was a little difficult at first. One great thing about it is, with the rite picture, after you edit, you can almost cut the photo too the exact look.I seen alot of craft malls around. You would think there would be more srcollsaw portraits being shown. But there isnt, not really.I think its a great hobby and art to be into. The sky's are limit to what you can do.Its so cool to see your work take shap before your eyes. |

TOOLS OF MY SHOP |
| I use many different tools at work and at home.Like,I said.I have a small shop, where,I build all my projects. My scrollsaw is the heart of my shop.I use other tools to make things happen also. Most of my tools are mixed brands.Nothing too fancy, just the basic.I have A tablesaw, drill press, wood lathe, plainer, routertable and a mix of beltsanders and other helpful tools. The things that make a shop come to life.My dreamshop would be a place of great space and more tools. You can never have enough space and tools. The reason is.Tools are always needing replaced after years of use and more space is needed for bigger projects.Someday,I'll have the ultimate shop.Until then, ill have fun with what,I got..I do alot with what,I have, thats what makes me so good at what,I do.I've done alot of projects where, skill is involved.Ive learned alot of things on my own.Ive always done the best job possible and things have payed off.Maybe after im old and retired. My hobby will be my full time job.Now thats something to look forward to. |
