Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are, So when the days come that are filled with frustration
and unexpected responsibilities,
remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be, because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.
I have 4 sisters whom I am very proud of. I have a lot of great memories of my sisters.
I am the youngest of my sisters, which meant I had a lot of BOSSES!! yea they bossed me around a lot! I remember hating that they bossed me around, I got in trouble by my sisters for a lot of silly reasons. I remember how they all would scold me just as if they were "my mom"!! And I thought at times I had "5" moms instead of "1".
They would tell me what to do, what to wear, how to wear my hair, I could not be the me that God created me to be. But I was young then and I guess they thought I needed more moms than sisters...So I grew up obeying my sisters as best that "I wanted to" anyway.
Maybe God thought I needed my Sisters to boss me because my dad was busy fighting with my mom. I do LOVE my sisters though. They did watch over me when mom coudn't, they guided me in the right steps, they gave me lectures, [better than mom did, in there own ways], but they were there for me. My sisters are special to me because of who they are.

What's a bird in the hand worth? Well, you just may have to try this yourself to answer the question. You may remember me and my students—we appeared in the Premiere Issue of Birds & Blooms. For more than 20 years, I had the privilege of teaching fifth graders how to feed birds from their hands. Over the years, they showed their appreciation by nicknaming me "The Birdman".
Now I'm retired, but the name has stuck. I still receive many cards and letters addressed to "The Birdman" from people interested in learning how to hand-feed birds.
So, I've decided to put on my teaching hat one more time. I think you'll enjoy this fun lesson—it can be learned right in your backyard. And the only "test" you'll take will be administered by your feathered friends.
The Colder the Better
For starters, you'll need to be patient and dress warmly. That's because the colder the temperature, the better the chances of a bird accepting your offering.
You see, since birds need more fuel to warm their bodies in cold weather, they're bolder when searching for food. This increases your chances of coaxing one to your hand. Here in Pennsylvania, I can hand-feed birds from October through April. Depending on the climate where you live, you can, too...just follow these basic steps:
Attach a small container or feeder to a tree and fill it with sunflower seeds—the favorite food of friendly chickadees, nuthatches and titmice.
Stock the feeder daily to keep the regular customers coming.
Each day, stand a little closer to the feeder after you've filled it. Eventually, the birds will tolerate you standing right next to the feeder itself. Speak softly and gently to the birds as they land on the feeder.
Now, instead of filling the feeder, remove the seed and fill a bowl or coffee mug with sunflower seeds and hold it near the feeder...then wait. Since the birds are accustomed to dining from the spot where you're holding the container, it's likely you'll tempt a friend to hop aboard for a meal.
Once the birds feed from the container you're holding, you're ready to try feeding them from your palm. Grab a handful of sunflower seeds and hold your hand flat and steady, right above the empty feeder.
A Matter of Trust
Your first visitor will probably land close by and stare at your offering. Stay calm! It's tough, but you can do it. Soon, your new friend may flutter above your hand a time or two to test your reaction. When you gain its trust, the bird may quickly snatch a single seed from your open palm and head for the hills. Don't worry, it'll come back—and when it does, it may stay longer!
Hand-feeding gives you a rare chance to study a bird "up close and personal". You'll notice each species' colorful markings and plumage, physical structure and unique personality.
Many of my students have said that hand-feeding birds is one of their favorite school memories. To tell the truth, it's one of my favorite memories, too.
So, what's a bird in the hand worth? I'll tell you—it's priceless!

2 YEARS AGO MY MOTHER DIED. IT WAS A SUDDEN DEATH, I WAS LIVING IN THE SHELTER HOUSE FOR BATTERED WOMEN, JANUARY 27th 2005 MY BOYS AND I LEFT OUR ABUSER, MY BOYS WERE LIVING IN A FOSTER CARE HOME AT THE TIME.
MY MOM DIED DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH HER INTESTINES. MY 2 OLDEST SISTERS, THEY DID NOT BELIEVE MY MOTHER WAS SICK, THAT'S THE WAY MY 2 OLDEST SISTERS ARE, THEY NEVER BELIEVED IN MY MOM, THEY ALWAYS COMPLAINDED TO ME ABOUT MY MOM BEING SICK ALL THE TIME. (I HAVE 4 OLDER SISTERS).
THYE ALWAYS JUDGE MY MOTHER WRONGLY(SHE WAS THEIR MOTHER TOO) THIS ALWAYS BOTHERED ME ABOUT MY 2 OLDEST SISTERS OF HOW THEY TREATED MY MOTHER. MY MOM WAS SICK, SHE HAD A LOT OF HEALTH ISSUES. MY MOTHER WAS THE KINDEST MOM I KNEW, SHE WAS A GOOD CHRISTIAN TOO, A BELIEVER IN GOD. SHE PRAYED TO GOD ALOT TO HAVE GOD HELP HER IN HER DAILY LIFE. MY MOTHER WAS A WORKER IN THE HOME AND OUT SIDE THE HOME. SHE WAS ALWAYS HELPING PEOPLE OF NEED. ALWAYS GIVING TO PEOPLE FOOD,CLOTHES, SHE WOULD GIVE PEOPLE RIDES TO PLACES WHEN THEY DIDN'T HAVE A CAR OR ANY OTHER WAY FOR TRANSPORTATION. MY MOTHER WAS A CARING LADY AND RESPECTED PEOPLE FOR WHO THEY WERE OR ARE. SHE DID NOT LOOK DOWN AT PEOPLE, SHE ACCEPTED PEOPLE OF ALL RAICES, TO MY MOM SKIN COLOR WAS NOT A PROBLEM UNLESS IT WAS MEDICAL PROBLEM.
MY MOTHER WAS A STRONG AND COURAGEOUS WOMAN, SHE CARED ABOUT PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT. AND EVEN THO MY 2 OLDEST SISTER TREATED HER WRONG SHE LOVED UNCONDITIONALLY RIGHT FROM HER GOLDEN HEART.

I think about my Mother a lot now more than ever before. My mother passed away March 2, 2005. My Mother passed away during a most tragic time in my life. A time when I had lost my children, and my life started shifting and falling apart and everything around me seemed so dark and dreary and I myself had felt myself falling apart..... My life I felt had crumbled, and shattered away.
A year ago from January My children and I experienced a violent abuse in our home for the last time. My children had be taken away from their schools for their safety, and I took myself to a place that took me in under their wings. I felt a lost for my children, and a lost for myself. One Lady and some other people that had helped me, understood me, cryied with me, and for me. For they new the impact of what abuse can do. They gave me a home to keep me safe, they gave me food, that nuritished me and helped me to stay strong, they gave me clothes that kept me decent and warm. They gave me courage to "keep on keeping on" to help me to get my life back. They counceled me and helped me to believe that the abuse was not my fault. They helped me to believe that I was ok. They helped me in a lot of wonderful ways to help me to make a better person of myself. They guided me in the right steps to a better path. They did the encouraging that helped me to do the work to gain my new life.
So now I have a new life that I Love and I am forever grateful for the caring hearts of the people that has helped me to gain the life I now have and that I am Proud to say I am me.

It hit me hard when my Mother passed away because when I was with my abuser, I had a hard time being able to talk to my Mother because my abuser contolled the phone... of who I was allowed talked to and when he did let me talk to her... he made it hard for me to carry on a conversaton, and sometimes he made load noices to where it was impossible for me to hear her. I couldn't go see her, she lived too far away and we could never afford to travel.
So when I finally was away from my abuser and able to call her anytime I wanted, I could not because she had gone and passed away. My heart had cumbled to know that I could never speak or see her again.
The tragic things that I had gone through had made me the strong woman that I am today.
To My Mother: Thank you Mother for teaching me, scolding me, and showing me how to live the life I am living today. I LOVE YOU MOTHER AND MISS YOU.
This is a letter my brother and sisters wrote to
our mother for her funeral.
Mother
Its hard to accept that you are gone, never to walk this earth again, never to see your sweet face or hear your voice again. To us you were the most beautiful Mother one could ever have. Your beauty is the kind the Bible says a woman should have, an inward beauty.
The greatest thing you ever did for us was you taught us many lessons from the Holy Bible, God's Word, to guide us through our lives.
You would sing to us with your guitar, a Hank Williams tune or Patsy Cline. But most of all you taught us how to sing Christian hymns. There was many a night we stayed up till midnight harmonizing a Christian tune.
Sometimes you would make us laugh, so hard because you were a comedian, like Lucille Ball, but sometimes you made us cry. We thought you were the "meanest mom" in the world when we got spankings and there were a lot of those!!
But when ever we had a problem you always did your best to listen and help. Our school friends would sometimes say they wished they had a Mom like ours.
You taught us many other important lessons for life like how to cook and clean. Though you had many hardships and sufferings in your life, you kept right on being a Christian and shinning your light for us to see. Yes, you had your faults and misgivings for you were human as we all are, and that is why Jesus died for us all as you often pointed out from the Bible. Though your earthly house house may have been a little cluttered at times, your spiritual house was always clean.
There are so many things we will miss about you Mother. So now we will let you go for we know you've gone to a better place with the angels in Heaven where God's home is. We will not say good bye. We will just say we will see you and hope to meet you with Jesus someday soon.

LIFE TO ME SOMETIMES WAS, AS IF I WAS ALWAYS HOLDING ON TO WHAT I HAVE. THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING OR SOMEONE IN MY LIFE THAT TRYED TO MAKE MY LIFE HARD TO DEAL WITH.
SO MANY TANGLES, SO MANY UPS AND DOWNS, SO MANY FORKS IN THE ROAD, SO MANY PEOPLE THAT MESS WITH MY MIND. THE THINGS THAT ARE CLOUDING UP MY MIND RIGHT NOW IS HARD TO LET GO, HARD TO FORGET, HARD TO SEE ANYTHING ANY BETTER.
MY HEART AND MIND AND SOUL HAS BEEN MESSED UP WITH BY MY ABUSER FOR A LONG, LONG TIME, I HAVE BATTLED SO MANY BATTLES!!!! I HAVE WAITED ON MY ABUSER , OBEYED MY ABUSER, TOOK A LOT OF PRESSURES OF HIM DEMANDING OF ME TO DO THIS AND TO DO THAT, TO PLEASE HIM AND ONLY HIM....
AND I DID OBEY HIM!!! AND TOOK A LOT OF PUT DOWNS,!!! A LOT OF SET BACKS FROM MY ABUSER TO MAKE HIM HAPPY!!!! HE WAS ONLY HAPPY IF I DID WHAT HE WANTED!!! AND I DID OBEYED HIM TO KEEP HIM FROM YELLING , CURSING AND SCREAMING AT ME AND THE KIDS. HE YELLED INSULTS AT ME. HE CUT ME DOWN IN FRONT OF OUR KIDS, HE SAID BAD THINGS ABOUT MY FAMILY. HE YELLED AND CURSED AT OUR KIDS, AND CASTED INSULTS AND CUT THEM DOWN WITH BAD AND UGLEY JOKES THAT MADE THEM SAD AND CRY. I HATED HIM FOR THE CRUEL PERSON HE WAS TO US. WE WERE HIS TARGET FOR WHEN HE HAD A BAD DAY. HE WOULD TAKE ALL HIS ANGER OUT ON US.
I WAS CONTROLLED BY MY ABUSER. I COULDN'T GO ANYWHERE WITH OUT HIM DEMANDING TO KNOW MY WHERE ABOUTS. HE WOULD SET A TIME LIMIT ON WHEN TO COME BACK. IF I DID NOT COME BACK HE WOULD CALL OR DRIVE AROUND TO LOOK FOR ME.
MY ABUSER TOOK CONTOL OF OUR MONEY. I HAD TO ASK FOR MONEY, WHEN I WOULD ASK HE HAD TO KNOW WHAT FOR, AND WHY. AND THEN HE WOULD LECTURE ME ON THAT I DON'T NEED THIS OR THAT. I HAD TO PLEADE AND BEG FOR MONEY.
WHEN I OR THE KIDS WOULD BE SICK OR GOT HURT HE DID NOT CARE. WHEN SOMETHING GOT LOST OR BROKE OR WHAT EVER, I WAS ALWAYS TO BLAME... MY KIDS AND I WERE SCARED OF HIM. MY KIDS AND I WERE ALWAYS ON EDGE, AND LIKE WALKING ON EGG SHELLS...WE WERE ALWAYS TRYING TO BE CAREFUL OF WHAT WE DID OR SAY SO WE DID NOT UPSET DADDY!!!!!! LIFE IN OUR HOME WAS CHAOS!!!!
MY KIDS WERE ALWAYS FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER, AND RUNNING OFF TO GET AWAY FROM THE VIOLENCE OF OUR HOME. MY KIDS WERE HIGH STRUNG, AND WILD, MORE THAN A NORMAL KID. WE ALWAYS HAD MANY PROBLEMS, OF DADDY GETTING MAD AND UPSET WITH ME!!! , HE BLAMED ME FOR THE KID'S BAD BEHAVIORS, IT WAS ALL MY FAULT!!!!! BECAUSE I WAS NOT!!!!! A GOOD PARENT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I CRYIED FOR MERCY, I CRYIED FOR HELP. FOR A LONG TIME I CRYIED , ONE DAY THERE WAS A CARING PERSON WHO HAD COME INTO OUR HOME TO HELP WITH OUR KID'S BAD BEHAVIOR. THIS PERSON HAD TALKED TO ME AND HAD HELPED ME TO OPEN MY HEART AND MIND TO GET OUT, TO GET AWAY FROM THE ABUSE THAT I WAS IN AND HAD TAKEN FOR SO LONG. SO I DID!!!, I WAS GIVEN THE CHANCE TO ESCAPE MY ABUSE. MY KIDS WERE HIDDEN FOR THERE SAFETY AND I HID MY SELF AWAY TOO. I TOOK THE CHANCE THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME, AND RAN!!!! WITH ALL THE HELP I HAD THAT WAS OFFERED TO ME!!!
AND NOW TO THIS DAY I HAVE A NEW LIFE. MY KIDS AND I ARE STILL ALIVE AND ARE SAFE AND AWAY FROM THE ABUSE. THE CHILDREN AND I ARE MUCH HAPPIER !!! THAN BEFORE, BUT THE EMOTIONS OF THE ABUSE STILL LINGER AND HAUNT OUR HEARTS. MOSTLY WE ALL HAVE SUFFERED EMOITIONAL ABUSE.
THIS EMOTIONAL ABUSE IS HURTING ME DEEP INSIDE. BUT WE ARE SAFE AND ARE STILL ALIVE AND TRYING TO IMPROVE OUR LIFE ONE DAY AT A TIME.
MY MOM HAS ALWAYS SAID "IF THERE'S A WILL THERE'S A WAY". I REMEMBER SAYING THAT DURING ALL THE ABUSE MY KIDS AND I WENT THROUGH. I BELIEVE THAT GOD HAD A PART IN THIS TOO.
I AM WHO I AM NOW BECAUSE OF WHAT I HAVE GONE THROUGH .......
I AM A SURVIVOR OF ABUSE..... I AM WHO I WANT TO BE!!!!!!

I RESPECT YOU - Respect is another way of showing love. Respect conveys the feeling that another person is a true equal. It is a powerful way to affirm the importance of a relationship.

A man should never be ashamed to own up to he has been in the wrong, which is by saying, in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday.
I THANK YOU - Gratitude is an exquisite form of courtesy. People who enjoy the companionship of good, close friends are those who don't take daily courtesies for granted. They are quick to thank their friends for their many expressions of kindness. On the other hand, people whose circle of friends is severely constricted often do not have the attitude of gratitude.
COUNT ON ME - "A friend is one who walks in when others walk out."
Loyalty is an essential ingredient for true friendship; it is the emotional glue that bonds people. Those who are rich in their relationships tend to be steady and true friends. When troubles come, a good friend is there, indicating "you can count on me."
LET ME HELP - The best of friends see a need and try to fill it. When they spot a hurt they do what they can to heal it. Without being asked, they pitch in and help.
I UNDERSTAND YOU - People become closer and enjoy each other more if they feel the other person accepts and understands them. Letting others know in so many little ways that you understand him or her is one of the most powerful tools for healing your relationship.

Hi Sweetie!! Hope you have had a good day!! It has been a long day here... Was out cleaning up the deck today and then helping Dave with building the pergola.. Should be pretty close to finished tomorrow..Just came in about 10 minutes ago.. Going to be pretty warm tomorrow so I don't know..
