Hi and Welcome
I raise variouse kinds of animals like Parakeets, Polish & Silkies. Some people think I am wierd when I mention I raise chickens. My Mom has a big interest in the silkies and I help her out as much as I can. I have been doing this for 6 years and I really enjoy it. I like showing my birds at bird shows and winning neat ribbons. Good time to hang out with my family and doing what I love. I love showing off my animals and this is a perfect way to do it :-P

I'll accept you as a friend. Your site looks neat. I used to have chickens, Rhode Island Reds but I did have a rusty colored Silkie, they are good mommies. I sure loved her.

Thats great. I am glad she is giving you s omany yrs. Its hard to say but I have had some up to 12yrs but most live to be 5-7yrs old. Thanks for the comment and take care

Thanks, I know my birds don't compare to yours. I got most of the chicks from another girl on the list. She had hatched out all she wanted for the year and gave them to me. All I paid was shipping. Out of 4 dozen eggs I hatched 25. Not too bad I guess. The rest of them I bought at an auction. I think some of the ones from her will be better quality than what I have now. I still love my old plain ones though. I hope a couple of them are splash because I don't have any splash yet. My kids are spoiled brats too, but I love them just the same. I guess it's my fault anyway!!! TTYL. Kelly
