This is me: |
I am a former high-end maker of collectable knives who has been photographing, painting and writing all of his life...just about. I live in the foothills of western Maine, and have two grown kids and four grandkids...and two golden retreivers. I am married to a wonderful woman, Abby, who is a massage therapist (lucky me).
My photos are represented by a gallery in Portland Maine--Domaine Gallery--and my paintings are represented by Abracadabra Fine Arts in Brunswick Maine.
My primary interest in creating images lies with qualities of light and the elegance of simplicity and beauty. I'm a long-time nature lover, have a feeling that the great majority of so-called 'modern' art has become entirely conceptual/mental and lost touch with what is meaningful in life. But, that's just my personal reaction to most of what I see: it leaves me cold, shrugging my shoulders, as if I am supposed to 'get it' somehow, but don't.
So, please enjoy my offerings as a counter-point to that approach.
