Introduce Yourself:
Hello, My name is Shay, Im happly married to my husband Dizzy, I am an animal lover. We both raise Roosters and hens, hes the one that got me into them, And now I love them.
We have 16 roos & hens, 6 cats ,3 dogs, 2 ferrets, 3 birds 1 rabbitt, and a 50 gallon fish tank full of different fish.
We are also into garding more so herbs, they are great for you.

Our main hobby is our roosters & hens. We groom them just about everyday to keep there feet, legs , face nice and clean.
I plan to start putting them into shows.
our next hobby is garding, vegetables, & herbs,sometimes my Cheesecake and my 3 dogs will follow me into the fence garden.
Cheesecake follows my feet becouse he cant see up becouse of his featherd head, i love it. |
BATH TIME:
I find the best item to is Appl Cider Viniger.
You mix a about 10 onces into a sink full of water.
You emerge the bird into the water, soak the feathers until they are drenged. put the bird in the sun let it airdry.
This helps with keeping mites off your birds. I've been using this since I got into roosters & hens and I use it on my chicks.
Be very extra careful if you are going to bath a chick less than 1 month, it needs to be dryed quckly, for it can get cold very fast and get sick, some sick can be fatal. |
APPLE CIDER VINIGER:
Apple Cider Viniger can be usefull in more than one way.
You can pour about 2 onces into 1 gallon of water for all the birds to drink, or use smaller amounts for smaller containers.
This helps with paristes, good for the imune system, and for there bones respitory system.
You have to watch the birds if they drink it, some can be finicky about the taste, they will not drink it. switch them back to clean fresh water imeditly.
You it is also great for peaple to. Sprinkle some on a salad and your good to go, Helps us in the same way. |
EYE TREATMENT:
If your bird gets an eye infection, or scratch, areally good remedy is Wet Coffie Grounds.
Brew some coffie, now the grounds that are used, let them cool off, make sure they are room tempeture. Put them in a cloth like a cheesecloth or even a couple of coffie filters.
Now sqeuze the juice out over the eye daily.
My husbands famly used this remedy for jenirations.
I've even used it on my cat and it works, It works so great that they use it on peaples eyes. My neice tryed it on her 1 yaer old boy, next day his eye was fine, And he was getting pink eye.

My most favorite person in the world is my husband, he is great to me. Lets say a few woman had told me i am so lucky to have someone like him. I belive im lucky, He loves to clean and cook for me, hey ladies what a change huh. Yep he is still the man here , but like I say to others is I do for him he does for me. Please ur man and he'll please u, He may be the man but I'm the spioled one. Think about, Bad additude will get you no where. And not with the right person who will spoil you.
