About Me |
I discovered beading in 2000 when I wanted to make a beaded wolf patch for one of my jackets. I came online to look for beads, and a whole new world opened to me! Since then I have become totally obsessed with beads. I started working with wire in 2002, so now I switch back and forth between beadwork and wirework.maille. My favorite thing is to combine the two.
I wrote a book for beginning beaders in 2002, and it continues to be a good seller with lots of satisfied customers. :) I also started a website back then (www.rubysbeadwork.com) that has free tutorials, and I try to add a new one whenever I have time.
My work has appeared in magazines, and in two of Tammy Powley's books.
I live in the country in Minnesota, and have a husband, a grown daughter, 2 cats and two great adopted dogs. :) When I'm not beading, you can find my pets and me out in the gardens attending to my flowers. :)
