| Love rare and unusual heritage breed poultry, sheep and rabbits. Love my two wonderful boys Zaine & Phoenix. Two Chihuahua's named Amelie (after the french movie) and Pippin Fizzgig (these are also my children hee hee). I have a wonderful husband named Levon who works his butt off for his family. He plays music as a hobby and puts up with my farm life. I love Jane Austen anything books, movies, etc. BBC series, AbFab etc. I am a artist in mixed media collage in beeswax among other bits and pieces like victorian head wear and childrens items available on Etsy under revolutionmama. I am a Vegetarian for 15 years now. I love animals, and it has always been my dream to own and operate my own farmstead to save dying or rare breeds. I also rescue unwanted poultry and rabbits..hope to someday be able to rescue larger animals - when we can talk our neighbor into selling his 5 acres ;0). We love to organic garden, and I love to make funky poultry houses with recycled materials and solar lights. Oh, we also harvest our own organic honey with our topbar beehive. My kids and my husband are my main love, and bless them for loving such a crazy farmin' girl! |

Introduce Yourself:
I fell in love with Indian Runner Ducks in the year 2005 at a friends house. They made me laugh and smile and still until this day! I decided to start out with some Holderreads SQ stock in 06 and got some wonderful birds. I've been adding different Exibition stock to my standard and rare color lines since then. The colors of runners I have are White, Grey, Chocolate, Black, Pastel, Lavender, Trout, Cinnimon, Fairy Fawn, Blue Fawn, Silver, Emory Penciled, Penciled, and some other varieties.
I also have a passion for Silkies, especially Buffs. I started with silkies in 07 and bought SQ stock to start off right. I feel that I try to carry the best silkie type I possibly can and want to improve as time goes on. My silkie colors are Buff, White, Splash, Blue, Black, & Partridge and a new color to come is Lavender in which I've waited forever for...it's like christmas!
I have White SQ Call Ducks, Butterscotch, Pastel, and Snowy Call Ducks.
I also try and raise rare waterfowl to the highest of standards. Those are:
Silky Ducks in Snowy, Grey, Black & soon to be white.
Sepastopols in white, next year I will be adding colors.
Giant Dewlap Toulouse in Buff & Grey
We own a flock of Olde Southdown Babydoll Sheep including a beautiful Spotted Ram who produces excellent offspring.
We have one Peacock named Whimsy..my son just "had to have him" and we bid on him at a auction. Our first ducks are 5 now and they are Buff Ducks named Sipsi & Bell (from Fried Green Tomatoes) they run the farm. Oh can't forget our inside animals...Pippin my white Chihuahua, Amelie our precious cream Chihuahua, Winslow our Yellow Fronted Parrot and the kitten that decided to adopt our yard (and now lives in Zaine's room) Milo. That's our crazy farm life...and bless my Husband Levon for putting up with it!
I am a stay at home Mom of two wonderful boys, Zaine & Phoenix who love and care for the animals around our farm. I have a wonderful loving husband Levon who loves to write and play music in a band. We love our animals like family! |

Motherhood, Wifehood, Animals, Watercoloring, Felting/Fiber Art, Gardening, reading magazines, Antique shopping, Watching Jane Austen Movies and reading her books. I love the Victorian time period and any movies about that era. Music, Beeswax Collage Art. Making childrends vintage items. |
TV Shows:
I really don't have time and no cable but sometimes I like to watch Conan Obrien, Wheel of Fortune, and Antique Roadshow, and PBS/BBC shows. I really think TV is a waste of time, it's all a bunch of nonsense anymore. |
Favorite Music & Bands:
I honestly like fast music, but I also love folk like Ani Difranco...and I love woman singers. My farm noises are one of the best sounds to sit back and enjoy. |
Favorite Movies:
Amelie, any Jane Austen based movies, I love the movie Babe, it's the one movie I never get tired of, Ann of Green Gables, Room w/ a View, Goonies, all the good 80's movies. Documentaries, BBC, North & South, Sweeney Todd, anything with Johnny Depp (love that man since 21 Jumpstreet) |
