The International Artist is best known for her spontaneous energy and the usage of multiple colors to create a trickling ambiance of texture and depth. She practically lives in paint clothes and works on small to humongous size canvases constantly. The last of six children, Linda Pierson grew up inspirationally viewing the magnificent sunsets of the Imperial Valley, California. Dubbed The Artist at Central Union High School, she studied under Margaret Roth who spotted talent and often used examples of her work. This was not surprising as her family claims she had been obsessed with painting years earlier. Pierson graduated nearly a year and a half early due to College Art Credits and Counseling from Donald Walker. At 16 years of age she was appointed by her eldest Brother, Herb and Sister-in-Law, Judy to run their leather shop and assist with beach shows in Santa Barbara, California. The culture of this Bohemian life style became evident in her work. With encouragement from her parents Dave and Ginny Pierson she attended Imperial Valley College, Santa Barbara and San Diego State Universities all with a Painting Major. Local Craftsman, Michael Chaille, Painter, Jaunita Lowe and Ceramist, Bill Bernard introduced her to a multiplication of mediums. In 1980, the artist painted extensively throughout France and Italy. After college Ms. Pierson traveled through British Colombia and settled in New York and Georgia. Giving birth to daughter Virginia Sue in 1985 and son Richard David in 1987. Her motherly instincts kept her at home with the kids and she creatively designed a line of painted clothing. The work along with her canvases were sold at showings and department stores. As an independent contractor The Colorist Painter has taught Art Classes throughout California and Georgia. A designer as well Pierson has completed several building projects often incorporating dozens of abandoned French doors and windows within the interiors.
