I'm a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM) living with my husband of 25 years and my 13 year old daughter and my 81 year old mother in law. My house is usually full of activity. We all have varied and multiple interests that keep us busy on a weekly basis.

As for me...I absolutely live for artistic moments in my studio. Sure...I don't mind the housework, cooking and cleaning...as long as it does't take up all my time and I have some time to create some art most every day.

Currently my passion is Paper Collaging with old vintage newspapers and photographs. I like collaging on mat board the best. I tried doing collage on canvas at first but didn't get the results I wanted. I may return to canvas sometime...but for now I am happily exploring working on mats.

Paper! Paper! Paper! I love any kind of paper...mostly vintage newspapers and photos. I put alot of vintage papers in my art work and I am constantly looking for more!!!

I love going to the Flea Markets during the warmer season. My favorite is Shupp's Grove in Adamstown PA. http://www.shuppsgrove.com/directions.htm
Some of my favorite paper and photo dealers often have booths there.

I also like making tinted papers from tissue paper with acrylic paint and inks. You never know quite what you will get when painting tissue paper. The element of surprise is the fun part of this method. Let me know if you are interested in learning the methods I use frequently and how I learned them.

Books I'm Reading....

I've always been intriqued by Andy Warhol...don't know why. Maybe it's the hair...or the pale blank look on his face?
I am currently reading his book "The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (From A to B and Back Again)"
I'm quite surprised at what a bland person he really was...but I love his simple nature. Here are some of my favorite Andy quotes:
