My son Manuel is a Soldier for the USA for the past 2 years he's been serving in Afghanistan, On August 27th he makes his journey back to the United States.. Can't wait to be able to see him and hug him. To know that he has completed yet another journey out in the world and has made it back safely gives me a sense of calm.. Always cherish what times you have with your children because soon they leave and start making lives of their own.. and all you can do is sit back and watch.

Well made it back from North Carolina.. My Son Manuel had made it back to the states and he is looking very good. I thank god for bringing him home safely. It felt so good to be able to hold him again. His fiance was there also along with my mother and her companion and my husband. While we were there he gave his fiance her engagement ring.. it's very beautiful... If you would like to see some pictures of my son view his photo album.

Well the wedding went very well. The bride and groom are now settling in North Carolina. I don't think I could be more pleased with how things went. My son made me cry.. (of course) but he had the DJ play "A Song for Mama, by Boys II Men, he use to sing it and play it for me when he was a bit younger.. and I had a feeling he might play it that night.. and he did. It was beautiful.. to hold him in my arms one more time and to be able to tell him that I was very happy and proud of him at that moment was a memory I will always cherish. It is a joy to know that everything turned out nice for them .. Samantha was very beautiful and she has been a joy to have in the family.. I look forward to having her as a daughter in law for many many years. I love you Manuel and Samantha... always and forever.

Ever have had friends in your life that mean everything to you?
Well I'm pretty lucky I have a few. Penny has been my friend since 5th grade.. umm 1974 or 1975 not sure on the year.. but she's been through it all with me..We got seperated later on in life.. she moved to the upper part of michigan and I stayed here.. but through it all we've still managed to be there for the big events in our lives.. our boys carried on the tradition of becoming friends... Manuel and Joshua and even Alex have been good friends.. maybe not the kind you hang out with on the weekends but no matter what, they know they can count on each other. Cynndah, Eileen and Robert, Not only are they my co workers.. but they are truely wonderful friends to have.. Thanks you guys.. for being there for usnot only for the wedding, but forever everything else too. And to all my other friends that have helped us in so many ways these past couple of years.. We thank you.. I can never express how much you all mean to me.. there are so many of you that I don't think I would have enough room on here to name you all... but you know who you are.. We love you. And to my Longtime Online Friends.. Cyndie, Connie, Rick, Patty and the rest of the RozeRoom friends.. you all are still very much in my heart. I miss you and Cathy, if you're up there watching.. every moment our baby wakes up with a smile... I thank you for giving me the courage to take that chance. We miss you.
If I could make a toast.. I would toast to LIFE.. for the many joys, wonders and most of all.. for the friendship we make.... old ones, new, ones close to home or faraway, in person, or online.. because without Friends,, we would all be very lonely.
