  About Me
What do you want to know? I am pure, honest, down-to-earth, enjoy life for what life has to offer. I write poems and short stories about events and people in my life. I read and sew. I can cook but why, it's just me, a teen who can and does cook, and a special needs who does not eat by mouth. What else? I love the outdoors, am open to a degree and know how to laugh. Me? I am who I am, therefore who I am I am!! I am woman, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and cousin. I am friend, fun, witty, likeable, and loveable. Godfearing, outdoorsy, and romantic. I am me. I am who I am, no other, no way, no how, no reason. I am who I am. I am writer, poet, seamstress, and artist. (all amature). I am who I am.

Who I'd like to meet? Maybe you! Tell me about yourself and we shall see what we shall see.

Dare; to make your dreams come true; to be a better you; to choose kind words to say; to walk the higher way; to give a helping hand; to make a better stand; to smile when skies are gray; to share a brighter day.

Lori's Interests
I guess this is more about me stuff:
I am an old lady with old ways and values, yet new beginnings everyday. I was born and raised Army, so yes I support our troops always and proudly! I was born in Germany and would love to go there just once as an adult. I have four adult children which three of has given me a dozen grandchildren total, not each - lol, two of them I am raising one is sixteen and hopes to get married this summer, the other is my very special little man from God. He is a special needs child with so much love and happiness he puts a smile on your face without trying to. He is my number one support person, because I look at him and what he endures daily and it gives me the strength and will power needed to go forward.
I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Phil. 4:13:

Harvey MacKay tells the story of a professor who stood before his class of 30 senior molecular biology students. Before passing out the final exam he said, "I have been privileged to be your instructor this semester, and I know how hard you have worked to prepare for this test.

I also know most of you are off to medical school or graduate school next autumn. I am well aware of how much pressure you are under to keep your grade point averages up. Because I am confident that you know this material, I am prepared to offer an automatic B to anyone who opts to skip taking the final exam." The relief was audible. A number of students jumped up from their desks, thanking the professor for the lifeline he had thrown them. "Any other takers?" he asked. "This is your last opportunity. " One more student decided to go. The instructor then handed out the final exam, which consisted of two sentences. It read:

"Congratulations, you have just received an A in this class. Keep believing in yourself." It was a just reward for the students who had worked hard and believed in themselves.

The Apostle Paul experienced more headaches and heartaches in a month than most of us will see in a lifetime. Yet he wrote, "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." Come on, start believing in yourself, in the Christ who lives within you, in the gifts He's placed at your disposal, and the destiny to which He's called you.

Refuse to settle for a B when God has promised and called you to an A.

Rules I live by:
Where there's a will there's a way! My late grand-daddy use to tell me this and he would add, "And girl you better make the will or you will never find the way." I live by it daily now. Thank you grand-daddy, I miss you dearly.
Interests & Hobbies:
My interests are my hobbies and they are many. I believe idle hands leads to idle minds, and idle minds leads to nowhere. I love learning about other cultures and trying to learn their lanuage. I also believe one can always learn something useful from other nationalities. And one last belief (other than in the Holy Trenity - The Father, The Son Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit) is when one is too old to learn something new one is too old to live. So I find something new each and everyday.
TV Shows:
Not much, I rarely have time for TV
Favorite Music & Bands:
All kinds of music, music is life! Christian number one; Casting Crowns> Philip, Dean, and Craig> All 4 Him to name a few. Country is number two; the old ones, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves ect.. new ones, Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt, ect... most all both old/gone and new. My kids have got me listening to some of their styles even.
Favorite Movies:
Old time family movies. I like the new wave graphics and effects, but I can do without the raw violance and lanuage, it has gotten out of hand.
Favorite People You Know:
Everone I know are favorites.
Favorite Celebrities:
Too many, way too many, most dead now or very old like me. LOL
Favorite Reads:
The Bible, number one, anything by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins - both together like The Left Behind seires and alone, and a few others oh yea Corrie Ten Boon one can learn a lot from her.

"Everything that's coming into your life you are attracting into your life" And it is attracted to you by virtue of the images you're holding in your mind."

“The greatest thing in the world is to be in love and be loved in return.” ""Just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have...""

I feared being alone until I learned to like myself. I feared failure until I realized that I only fail when I don't try. I feared people's opinions until I learned that people would have opinions about me anyway. I feared rejection until I learned to have faith in myself .I feared pain until I learned that it's necessary for growth .I feared life until I experienced its beauty. I feared death until I realized that it's not an end, but a beginning. I feared my destiny, until I realized that I had the power to change my life .I feared love until it touched my heart, making the darkness fade into endless sunny days. I feared the future until I realized that life just kept getting better. I feared the past until I realized that it could no longer hurt me. I feared the dark until I saw the beauty of the starlight. I feared the light until I learned that the truth would give me strength. I feared change, until I saw that even the most beautiful butterfly had to undergo a metamorphosis before it could fly.

Don't Ever Regret Something Or Someone That Made You Smile!!

Love is like a delicate surgery where two hearts are joined to beat as one...

  (Paraphrased Scriptures, not quotes).
I can do all things. All things are possible if you trust and believe. All things work for good for those who love the Lord. Love, above all these, love is the most important commandment.

People come into your life for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime. When you know which one it is for a person, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a
Godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
