About Me

Im a 48 year old art veteran who opted right out of high school to go into Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear Decontamination specialization in the ARMY during the 80's instead of going straight from high school to art school. Ask my friend George from Auburn, this was a decision Ive regretted to this day. Twenty years, back, gallbladder, and shoulder surgeries later, and waning health, and im now trying to go back to school for digital media design despite my head start. My first attempt was in the 90's with Universty of Phoenix, but I couldnt get the DVR(Division of Vocational Rehabilitation) in New Mexico to get their head out of the sand, so of course I had no funds to go to school.
Seven years later after the 911 bombings, I again attempted to get funding in NY state to attend the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for their Media & Animation Program. Again, the government dropped the ball. Third time around now in Wisconsin, Im trying with DVR's help and the WIA(Workforce Investment Act)'s help to attend Madison Media Institute, and first semester hasnt even begun and already government snags once again.
This is my last chance as Im getting older, and wont live forever. Cant get design companies to hire me on talent alone either. If you have any ideas on how to get my work out there, drop me a line at dmailen@yahoo.com
And tell Obama thanks for the economic stimulus. For the first time in 20 years, ill actually get to continue my education in media design as Im attending Madison Media Institute for Digital Media Design & Production and possibly animation as well, starting in September!

Hello, guess youre wonderin bout me. Ok, well I like to do a little online gaming at times, also like to create digital works of art, discretionary product identity art on commission, like to wood carve furniture and wall hangings when the creative space presents itself, I like to read,hike, go camping, explore sacred sites, make love under the stars, and find ways to bring cultures together instead of diving them. Rules I live by:
Live and let live! Do what you can out of love, or at least out of self preservation. Let go of the things that are in danger of crushing you, unless the reward and the risk is worth it.
Ignore the guy next door that yells 'WATCH OUT' unless the shadown thats creeping up on you is shadowing him or her also, then run like hell!
Accept the fact that you cant always see the things that matter most in order to change them, thus its better to cowtow afterwards and say youre sorry, or youll do better next time.
And be sure to return the favor good or bad, unless god has picked someone else to do it for you. Then wish them luck!
