Crested Horizon Poultry's Interests
Sundy:
I am a wife to a wonderful man, my high school sweetie, of 17 years of marriage, 20 years together total. He says that he doesn't really care for chickens, but he takes company out to see them and talks about them at work. I think he secretly does like them.
We have 3 wonderful children, 2 boys and 1 girl. I love being a stay at home mom. They are my everything!
I like to garden. We have a half an acre that we plant. We can most of our veggies and some fruit. That is a family project and it takes all of us.
I like to be on the computer. I am not a TV person, so the computer is my TV. I like to go camping in our travel trailer ;) My own bed, toilet...LOL...is that camping? I like to be outside and be around animals. I find it completely relaxing to watch the animals. They are just so funny! We also have 3 Pygmy goats, 1 mini flop rabbit, and 4 cats.

We are NPIP certified.
When I got started I bought from top breeders who took the utmost care of their flocks. I do not vaccinate nor have I bought from breeders who vaccinate. I believe in raising a strong flock by resistance.
They are fed a good diet, fresh air, clean water daily, cleaned and trimmed regularly. They are basically spoiled...
Please sign my guest book below and let me know you have been here and where your from.
This year we will be adding a few new things to our barn. Every year has been an adventure and a lot of fun for our whole family to be involved in. Everything here on our farm is a family project :) Our children love to be involved in everything, right in the middle, getting their hands dirty.
One thing we will be adding are automatic waters. That will be a great project but ohhh so convenient for us. At this point we spend a lot of time filling bottle founts, so this will be a great step up for our pens and will be much more convenient for everyone.
One thing that I would like to add, is a water heater and sinks. I would like to do my bird washing in the barn. Right now I am washing them in my bath tub (inside my house) and that is very hard on my back. This may be another years project.
