Art Appreciation revisited... |
Art is something I've always loved from the time I first gave each crayola a personality along with a special place in the family box of 64.
I have never (and still don't) believe I am good at art, but I've come to realize you don't have to necessarily be good at something in order to appreciate it. We are our own worst critics, but I no longer worry about what others will think of what I create, as long as I enjoy it myself in some way or enjoy the process of creating itself.
So here is my site of Artist Trading Cards and other artistic attempts, feel free to leave comments or link to my page. If you'd like to trade any cards, drop me an email via the above link.
Enjoy. |

Sanna's funny...... Art Thief! |
A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre.
After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings and made it safely to his van.
However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas.
When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied, "Monsieur, that is the reason I stole the paintings.
I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh."

And you thought I didn't have De Gaulle to post....
Well, I figure I have nothing Toulouse .

Why art is so addicting... |
I feel guilty for sneaking into my little corner and "arting around" a lot, but it is so relaxing and just takes away the stress of the day. It's no wonder why so many people say it's addicting, it's not just the finished piece of art that is so rewarding, it is the whole creative process from sitting and staring at a blank page (for however long) to looking down at your ink-stained hands and realizing hours have passed. It's getting lost in the moment and letting your mind wander to places other than work or school or upcoming deadlines.
Artist Kristie LaRose sums it up best....
"I create art for me... to help me shut the brain off at night. Reality gets stuck in my head sometimes and goes around and around, when I sit at my art desk all those thought of 'the real world' go away and I'm a kid again... "
