I have extensive interests in all things Russian and Ukrainian and have worked in and visited these countries many times.
i am a keen amateur photographer as well as a musician and now that my kids have grown up I hope soon to be made a grandfather! |

I am a 47 year old British /European citizen,a Consultant Network Engineer by trade and living in Switzerland.
I have extensive interests in all things concerning Russian and Ukrainian culture ,arts,trains etc. I have worked in and visited these countries many times.I am a keen amateur photographer as well as a musician and now that my kids have grown up I hope soon to be made a grandfather! |
Favorite Music & Bands:
I was a child of the sixties and a teenager of the seventies, one of the first punk rockers in my home town and known as a notorious freak!
Small surprise i love all good rock,country,folk and punk music.
Top favorites remain, The Stones, The Beatles, The Who ,Zeppelin,Purple,Sabbath,The clash, The Jam, The Ramoenes, the Stranglers,The Alarm, the Simple minds, U2, Early Oasis, Nirvahna,The Chilli peppers.
Recent fav's: Del a soul, Run DMC Eminem, Ice tea, Perl Jam, The offspring, Radiohead, Kula Shaker,
I also like classical music in all it's manifestations.
The thing i can least stand is boring repetative techno! |

Right now, as the summer sun is shining I keep thinking how wonderful it would be to take a walk along the un-crowded right bank of the Neva along Lieutenant Smith’s quay on Vasilevsky Island in St Petersburg.
The view is especially beautiful towards sunset. |
