Art Deco and Art Noveau were significant enough contributions to the design of steel elements that they will last and become classical in themselves. "China" steel and other imports are mostly junk, made of light-weight and poor quality steel. If not mine, find another local craftsman to create steel elements for your home and garden. You will get a better product, American made, and you will not be sending your money overseas.
