  About Me
I have always been "creative", bouncing from one thing to another, always with great enthusiasm. Since discovering the world of making cloth dolls, however, I find them totally satisfying. There are always new challenges, and new solutions, which keeps me going.
My other love is writing, so I often write stories and poems to go with the dolls. I also enjoy making portrait dolls of people, both those that I know and others from photos. It's so exciting to see them "come to life" as the person the are meant to portray! What fun!
I have had inquiries about patterns & dolls on my comments page here, but have not found a way to reply, therefor if you need an answer please contact me at: dollmakerlaura@yahoo.com

I get involved in way to many projects at one time. Since my illness last year I am unable to sit, stand or do much of anything to long. It is getting better though. We lived in FL for almost two years, haven't seen Colorado or in that part of the country other than visiting with oldest son when he lived in CA briefly in 2005. We are planning to return to home state Maine for retirement as family is there and that is the only time we will get to see them mostly. Sadly, most of the grandchildren will be grown up. That's life...take care
