About Me - Hair regime |
My current regime is less is more for me:
I do frequent a stylist for texlaxing and trims (dusting) every 8-12 weeks, depending on amount of new growth. She uses Lady Velvet mild lye relaxer.
I shampoo once a week with Elucence Moisture Balance Shampoo and deep condition under the hair dryer for 20 minutes with Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditoner.
I alternate and use Elucence Deep Moisture Repair Treatment weekly, and Creme of Nature Moisturizing Conditiner every 2 weeks for light protein treatments.
I roller set using as my leave ins, Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner and Distilled Water.
MAY 2008, I am going to begin experimenting with WEN cleansing conditioners.. Stay tuned for updates to come.
I sit under my Pibbs Dryer for 30-45 minutes since my hair is longer.
I moisturize with Qhemet Burdock Root Butter Creme(love the smell) and alternate with Sweet Cashews Seynai Butter ( love the smell, texture and consistency, and seal with Hairveda's Shikakai oil or camellia oil. This is also my daily moisture ritual.
MAY 2008 I am going to begin using a Japanese Tsubaki Camellia Hair Oil for sealing. Stay tunded for updates.

MAY 2008 I am going to begin using Delouise Natural Hair growth serum which I heard is excellent and smells divine. Stay tuned for updates. Got great growth from this oil, but now I am using Hairveda Shikakaki Oil.
I daily wear my hair in a french twist with a sideswept bang. I am beginning to protective style using my new hairzings MAY 2008. I am laying off the French Twist for a while. I need a change.
I also purchased two wigs for alternate protective styling.
I sleep in a satin scarf every night, rolling only the top of my hair for volume and one roller in my bangs.
I am taking quantum nutriition super green foods capsules, an amino acid complex by Solgar, Flax Seed Oil capsules, a iron pil QN Labs, and a protein drink by Peak Energy.

I also eat salmon three - four times a week, turkey breast, grilled chicken, almonds, raisins, fresh fruit, salad, vegetables and drink a lot of water which I think contributes to my hair health. I work out out 3 times a week, and walk 5-6 times a week. |
