All About Us |
We now call Ny our home but Pa. is where our hearts belong. We are a Family of Five. My husband and I were school sweethearts we've been married 27 years and have three wonderful children, our oldest is 26 he's married to a wonderful girl and we are now Grandparents. We are thrilled our 2 Girls are still living with us "they are 19 & 24" because we know how quickly time flys and things will change when they start new chapters in their lives. We will be happy to see their pages turning, feeling blessed to view each new chapter as we have with their brother.
This year is also a time of sad firsts. My father passed away November 9th 2005 and he is always on my mind. Besides our family and friends our pets are our passion, they bring us a lot of added pleasure in our daily life, and we love to share that passion & pleasure with others.

We package fresh eggs that are 48 hours old or less, we package our eggs with the best of care, you can view our egg packaging process by clicking on the album marked packaging process. Many things can happen to eggs during shipping and incubation and because of this we like most breeders cannot replace eggs for any reason. We do how ever add extras to your order if we have them available to help offset any problems. The EXTRA'S could be any color. "I Will Re-Ship Eggs only if The Tracking Slip Shows that the Eggs have taken 10 Days or Longer to arrive at their Destination and the buyer agrees to pay another $15.00 for priority shipping/supply charges or $26.00 if they want them Shipped Express."
WE WILL NOT SHIP OUT OF THE U.S. for obvious reasons. PLEASE DO NOT ASK !
You also do not have to be concerned with getting OLD/REFRIGERATED Eggs from us.

Shipping Hatching Eggs in winter |
Most Breeders do little to no shipping in the Cold Winter Weather.
There are very few Pros and a lot of Cons to consider.
* In the Winter Months the Fertility Rate naturally declines.
* Eggs have the possibility to freeze during transit.
* Eggs laid in the winter can be negatively affected by the cold before they are even collected.
* The Holiday Shipping mess can delay the arrival time of your box even into January.
* With Winter Storms there is also the added risk of power outages.
We don't like to Ship During Dec, Jan, Feb.
I do not want to risk any ones money to ship eggs with those odds. I realize some breeders want to get a head start for showing so if you read everything and want to go for it anyway then email me.

At least 70 Silkies were shown .
4 of them were NON-BEARDED.
I took 15 Birds.
13 of them I had never shown before.
7 - Breeders showed a total of 19 Whites
We won BEST OF BREED & BEST VARIETY
and Reserve Champion Featherleg.
My White Cock Rooster Placed first and another Pullet also placed first.
(Sheri Bishops hen took RB)
5 - Breeders showed 9 Blacks.
My Hen took BV and my Pullet RV
8 - Breeders Showed 10 Blues.
My hen took BV, my pullet took RV
and my Cockeral placed 1st
4 - Breeders showed 9 Buffs.
My Hen was the top winner geting BV.
My rooster took 1st
and my other hen took 2nd.
We show our own lines from eggs hatched from our our breeding program.
I do not show the same birds over and over
I do not buy others birds to show and take the credit.

I will not be hatching anything else this year.
And now that Spring is around the corner we will be spending much less time on the computer as well.
No web surfing for me so if any of you would like me to see what you have been up to you will have to email me then I will go take a peek. I will set aside a half hour everyday to check my email and the fourm then be off enjoying the
Sun shine :-)

I am proud of our Flock of Fluffy Silkies.
I put a lot of thought into my breeding program.
I have never blindly bought eggs/birds on a whim.
I have done my homework & asked many questions.
I bought directly from top breeders.
I do not list names if I have not bought directly from them. When these birds are deliberatly paired with a mate that I think will compliment each others best features and hatch eggs from them, then the resulting chicks are no longer that breeders stock but Flufnstuff stock.
Once you mix my birds in with your existing flock then those eggs & chicks are your line. We keep our colors seperated. I would never/have never received anything from another breeder whos birds were mixed. We are NPIP certified.

The best possible care I can give my birds is whats important. To me as a Serious & Dedicated Breeder.
Getting the Best Quality possible when starting or flock was our main goal.
After that the Quantity of birds we have is just the Icing on the Cake. We are NPIP certified.

I have reached all my goals as far as my flock goes,
Quality & Quantity. I cut back in 07 not as much as
I would have liked but it worked out great.
This is just a happy hobby.
As in 07 I will hatch very few if any chicks, I am thrilled with what I have now and I have no more room to expand even if I wanted to and getting rid
of any pets we have now is out of the question.
"NEVER" let your hobby become work.
It takes all the joy out of it.
Because we cut back in 07 we were able to do many things including several vacations that I will share pictures of as soon as I get them organized. 08 is going to be very busy with a lot of thrilling new happenings being planned for. This will effect our attendance at shows this year but thats OK.
