Welcome to the pictorial web site for Healthy Smiles For Haiti. Through the generosity of many, this Canadian organization has provided education to thousands of young and not so young individuals in Haiti since 2001.
Dental supplies have been provided to many dental clinics in Cap-Haitien, Petit-Goave and Les Palmes and L'Acule Haiti.
We have received funding from Rotary International sponsored through the Burlington North Rotary Club in Ontario Canada. We have been privileged to have dental professionals share their time and expertise with the Haitian people. These special people include Jennifer Dibben, Jane Winhall Barb Drysdale from Ontario, and Dr Domenico from Rome Italy.
Since the earthquake in Jan 2010, the world has provided abundant assistance in emergency relief. But as the time passes people still are in need of clean water, nutritious food and proper shelter which will be thousands of families homes for many years.
We at Healthy Smiles continue our commitment to supply the means to assist the Haitian dentists to provide care and education to the poorest of the people of Haiti. The impact of the earthquake has only increased the demand to provide affordable safe dental care.
This essential health service can not continue without support. We need financial assistance to pay for a facility and provide a fair salary to the professionals of Haiti. We need dental supplies and toothbrushes - there is never enough toothbrushes. It is so hard to smile in Haiti these days but we do not want tooth pain to be one of the reasons.
