Cloth Dolls and Figurative Art by Beth Ann Williams

Welcome! Although I make my living primarily by designing, teaching, and writing about contemporary quiltmaking (see www.bethannwilliams.com), I've become a most enthusiastic dollmaker and mixed-media and surface design enthusiast, as well. I find working with the figure (human or non-human) to be very therapeutic, as well as lots of fun. Although my quilts are all original designs, at this point in time, most of my dolls are not. I am learning by making, adapting, and combining patterns by other artists. If you click on the doll photos, you'll find the designer credits. The various Retreat albums include photos I have either taken myself or received from participants of some of the annual retreats in which I have participated. I teach for Ginny Withey on the Mackinac Island retreats; June Mears-Driedger and I co-host the Storytelling in Fabric retreats. Enjoy!
